This ten-step process, allows our clients to sit back over the course of their project and trust our team to execute, while still maintaining approvals on overall budget and style.
OUR DESIGN PROCESS
Design Consultation
A preliminary design meeting will be scheduled to assess your needs, discuss ideas and explore the design possibilities.
Design Budget
We will then work with you to define the scope and budget for your project.
Requirements & Feasibility
We will help you determine what you require and what is possible. Helping you bring your ideas together and develop a master plan.
Design Development & Drawings
We start with a space plan to help you fully maximize your residential or commercial space and determine what is possible. Interior Design Drawings will then be developed for all walls, floors, ceilings and details.
Construction Drawings & Scope
We will prepare all drawings for the construction of the project. These drawings are developed for building permit applications, tendering and construction. A detailed scope of work will be prepared to itemize the work required.
Material Selection & Specification
We will look at a variety of materials and select items that are the best fit for your project. Product and design specifications will be created and Design Drawings updated with the material selections.
Fixture Selection & Specification
We provide suggestions for fixtures, such as lighting, window coverings, bathroom plumbing, glazing, shelving and signage. We work with you to decide which items will be selected and a specification document is prepared.
Furniture Selection & Specification
We select or custom design the furniture and accessories for your project. These items typically include desks, display tables, shelving and seating. To enhance your design we will propose accessories, decor and artwork. Design Drawings will be updated to reflect furniture placement.
Tendering & Budgeting
We will provide you with the completed drawings and specification to share with your builder, so they can complete your construction budget.
Construction Support
During construction, we will remain available to answer any questions from vendors, suppliers or the site. Regular site visits will be conducted to ensure the design and work is being completed according to the drawings and specifications.
