KLC kre-a-tiv is currently looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join the KLC team.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

1. Provide space planning that accurately reflects the programing, functional requirements, and design considerations of the project.
2. Research, gather, recommend, and present to the principal designer appropriate finishes and furnishings that capture the functional, aesthetic, environmental and budgetary requirements
3. Prepare documentation for the selection, specification, procurement and installation of furnishings and equipment, including detailed drawings and schedules.
4. Assist and collaborate directly with KLC Project Manager(s) to update schedules and communicate with clients
5. Manage, organize and update the office library (physical and virtual)
6. Produce detailed client presentations using PowerPoint and/or InDesign
7. Assist the Principal Designer and other members of the KLC team with project installations

MUST-HAVES

1. Hold a degree or diploma in Interior Design
2. Minimum of 2 years experience in an interior design role
3. Have great design skills, style and creativity
4. Proficient in AutoCad
5. Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
6. An excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications and the BC building code
7. Technically savvy, able to learn and master new programs and applications

NICE TO HAVE

1. Experience in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
2. Comfortable using SketchUp (especially the viewer)
3. Procurement Knowledge
4. Knowledge of freight, shipping and brokerage for wholesale orders
